So at the end of this year… Year nine I guess since we reset everything. As is the tradition with television and the internet it’s time to make a top ten. So since I haven’t completed ten projects this year (I’m aware that I am not a very productive carpenter) I’m going to pick my ten favourite pictures of this year. As is usual, we shall start at number ten.

What’s not to like about smoking a pipe at a party?

One of many pictures that illustrate how good I look while smoking, and it’s the first time in the year that I shaved my head.

My first Kilt. It shall be one of many one day.

Hallowe’en this year was great fun. It’s a fantastic Irish holiday. I went as one of Mussolini’s boys. Nobody really got it. At least the clothes I was wearing were real clothes, so it’s not like I wore a crappy costume once.

One of the most fun parties ever. Senan casually mentioned that they were dressing up as gangsters… and everybody arrived with fake guns, sharp suits, hats, back stories… it was amazing.

The greatest thing I did in 2009… was visit Kimberlee. I’m going back in 2010.

Saturday On The Beach

Finally a bit of good weather came our way, and once Ed, Aidan and Greg landed round at Ruth and Senan’s place and off we went to The Bridge Club.

Which involved driving over a lot of tiny bridges, and farting around in rivers. We explored the beach, went spelunking and generally had a blast. Most fun I’ve had in a long time. Once more, I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves after the jump.

I do believe that the above is the most epic 365 picture that I’ve taken to date. The next one is pretty awesome too.

The only reason why I’m in so many of these pictures is because sin was doing most of the photography. Thanks for capturing all the wonderful moments.

There was a barbecue wherein the majority of the awesome people in Carandonagh turned up, but we had to be on our merry way.

Slim pickings today, everyone was out of money so we sat around for most of the day eating biscuits, cans of fruit, pasta and whatever else wasn’t nailed down. Senan came round again, and God bless him he brought some rolling tobacco and shared like a champion.

Next time you’re up Senan, I’ll get you a pouch.

Man… my neck looks long. And hairy. I think I’ll get a makeover this week.

Yeah, this is Senan, he lives entirely on impulse, there is no disconnect between thought and action. He’s great fun to hang out with.

I’m back up home in Letterkenny, looking at discount zoot suits and not drinking beer. Another day up on the lane.
